Uttar Pradesh Anti -Terrorism Squad (UP ATS Saharanpur) and Moradabad Police have arrested a Kashmiri terrorist in a joint operation. The arrested terrorist was absconding for 18 years. The arrested terrorist is named Ulfat Hussain alias Mohammad Saiful Islam alias Afzal alias Parvez alias Hussain Malik son Haji Ataullah Khan.
To avoid the Indian police and agencies, he had kept many different names. He is originally from village Fazlabad, Surankot, Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir Valley. He used to work for the terrorist organization Hizbul Mujahideen. A reward of 25 thousand rupees was declared on the arrest of this terrorist.
The arrested terrorist took training in POK (Pakistan Occupied Kashmir) terrorism between 1999-2000. This terrorist is wanted for the police station of Moradabad. He was caught by Moradabad Police on 9 July 2001. Then an AK-47 and an AK-56 and large number of cartridges were seized from his possession.
Apart from this, 2 pistols of 30 bore, 12 grenades, 39 timer, 50 detonators, 29 kg explosive material, 560 live cartridges and 8 magazines were also caught from its possession. In the same case, the court issued a permanent warrant against it on 2025 and then on 5 March 2025. The Moradabad police had also kept a reward of 25 thousand on its arrest. Currently, it has been arrested on 7 March 2025.
Ulfat Hussain Kashmir hails from Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir. After training him in PoK (Pakistan Occupied Kashmir), the bosses of terrorism sent him to wreak havoc in India. He also raked some areas of Moradabad to carry out the terrorist incident. In Moradabad, he could have carried out a terrorist incident, before that Moradabad police had caught him 18 years ago. Since then it was absconding.
