After the attack on the bus conductor and the driver, the bus service between Karnataka and Maharashtra has been closed. Both states are suffering economic losses in this beauty battle of two states. The most difficult is the common people coming and going in these states. Due to the nose fighting on this issue in both the states, the situation has become worse. Even in these worse situations, there is no way out in a hurry. Who can end or get this dispute done.
It is not that this quarrel between the two states has happened for the first time. Even before this, there has been a border dispute between the two states. According to the media reports quoting the news agency, an official has also confirmed the traffic in both the states being temporarily closed. This officer is associated with the Northwest Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NWKRTC). The same official said that we have suspended our bus service for Maharashtra from yesterday.
On the other hand, Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) has also immediately suspended the process of sending its buses to Karnataka. This decision has been taken in view of the tension prevailing on the sensitive border issue in the border district Belagavi. It is necessary to mention here that when this ruckus started, the buses of both the states were fiercely vandalized. Karnataka Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy has accused the Maharashtra government of attacking KSRTC buses, so far of not taking any strict steps.
